The Beginning: A Childhood Surrounded by Addiction
Abraham Torres grew up in Paterson, New Jersey, in a household torn apart by addiction. Both of his parents struggled with substance use, and the chaos that came with it became the backdrop of his childhood. Instead of safety, home meant instability. Instead of guidance, there was loss. As a child, Abraham witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of drugs — eventually losing both of his parents to addiction.
With no real direction or support, he began drifting into the streets. Survival became his priority. He turned to drugs himself, continuing the same cycle that had consumed his family. This led him deeper into the lifestyle that so many others never make it out of. Eventually, his actions led to incarceration — years spent behind bars, cut off from family, from life, and from any sense of stability or purpose.
The Turning Point: A New Beginning Through Faith
But Abraham’s story didn’t end there. In the darkest moments of his life, he found a flicker of hope. One day, he made a decision that would change everything: he gave his life to Christ. That moment of surrender marked the beginning of his transformation. Upon his release from prison, he was offered a place in a sober living home — a safe space to heal, grow, and learn how to live again.
It was there, in that sober home, that Abraham began to rebuild. He learned how to maintain sobriety. He learned how to live responsibly. And most importantly, he learned how to be part of a supportive, uplifting community. Faith gave him direction, and sober living gave him structure. For the first time in his life, he experienced accountability, dignity, and hope.
The Mission: Giving Back Through Lifting The Fallen House LLC
Today, Abraham is a certified Recovery Coach who has dedicated his life to helping others. His mission is deeply personal — because he’s lived it. He knows what it’s like to feel forgotten. He knows what it’s like to lose everything. And he knows what it takes to rise again.
That calling led him to establish Lifting The Fallen House LLC — a sober living home where individuals in recovery can find the same kind of support, love, and structure that helped save his life. Abraham is committed to offering a safe space where people can heal, grow, and reconnect with themselves and their families.
Through his leadership, Lifting The Fallen House LLC is more than just a sober home — it’s a living testimony that recovery is possible. That no matter how far someone has fallen, they can rise again.
A Message From Abraham
“I didn’t have a perfect life. I’ve made mistakes. But I also know what it feels like to be given a second chance — and I’ve made it my mission to pass that chance on to others. This home isn’t just a business. It’s my purpose. My passion. My calling.”
